Optimized Complexity Matrix
Report
You can export an optimized complexity matrix report in an XLS file from the Define Giveaway dialog box.
You do this by clicking the Save optimized complexity matrix report resulting from last applied giveaway () button after applying your giveaway selections in that dialog box.
The report contains the following tabs:
- Summary tab Contains information about the design, harness, annual volume, costing, and so on.
Describes the giveaway settings.
Lists options that could into be given away, were partially allowed to be given away, and were allowed to be given away.
- Options tab Lists all levels as rows.
Lists all options and variants as columns.
Green columns are variants.
Blue columns were not allowed to be given away.
x in a cell indicates that the option or variant is present and always used on that level.
g indicates that the option or variant is present and sometimes given away on the level.
Devices tab Lists all harness levels against all devices and their connectors, and whether that device and connector is present. The numbers in the cells of this tab correspond to a connector in column A of the Connectors tab.
Connectors tab Lists all connectors against all of the signals in the harness. The number in the cell indicates in which cavity in the connector the signal is placed.
Vehicle Models tab Displays all levels and all vehicle models. x in a cell means that level is applicable to that vehicle model.
Note
When exporting the matrix report, the “Select Optimized Complexity Report File” dialog box gives you the option to include mappings. This option exports an additional CSV file that describes the mapping of full complexity levels to optimized complexity levels and options.
A “Retain on Design” option retains the resulting matrix on the design as attached data. You can retrieve this data via a plugin.
