Editing or Revising an ICD

This topic describes how to edit or revise a previously created ICD, and save amendments into your ICD library. The procedure is the same for both options, however if you edit a copy of an ICD, supplier part numbers, part numbers and history data are not replicated to the new ICD.

If you create a revision of the ICD, supplier part numbers and part numbers are still not replicated to the new part. However, history data provides a link to the original ICD.

Procedure

1. Select the ICD which you wish to edit from the ICD List window and either click the edit icon to access Edit mode or the revision icon to access the Revision mode. The Edit ICD dialog box is displayed.
2. Update ICD details as required.
3. Click the save icon to save your updates. The values specified are added to the ICD and saved in the ICD Library.

Results

The ICD details are now updated.
