Converting a Waypoint to

an Arc

You can replace a waypoint between two bundle segments with an arc.

Procedure

  1. Select the bundle with the waypoint and either:Right-click and select Arc > Convert Waypoint to Arc. The cursor changes to .

Press Space Bar and enter Bundle Palette; the Bundle Palette Dialog Box is displayed. Click Convert Waypoint to Arc (). Note The Convert Waypoint to Arc option is only available when the angle between the two bundles meeting at the waypoint is at least 5 degrees.

  1. Position the cursor over a bundle segment on one side of the waypoint to be converted. The cursor changes to .

  2. Click to select the bundle segment (a red circle indicates the selected position). Again, the cursor changes to .

  3. Click to select the second bundle segment on the other side of the waypoint. The Convert Waypoint to Arc Dialog Box is displayed.

  4. Specify the arc radius.

  5. Click OK. The waypoint and a calculated length of each bundle segment are removed and replaced with an arc.Note The length of the arc is always less than the combined length of the bundle segments it replaces. To maintain the total bundle length when working with Full Scale Diagrams, the length of the exit segment (the segment furthest from the datum node) is increased appropriately.
