Managing Properties in ICDs
You can create and assign properties for use in ICDs. Properties are related to the 'typeCode' of the selected part. ICD properties and values are viewable in the Capital Logic Properties dialog. Properties defined without a 'typeCode' are applicable for all ICDs.
Properties are assigned to ICDs using a configuration file which you must create and save as icdproperties.json. Figure 1 displays an example configuration file.
Figure 1. Example Property Type Codes (figure not reproduced)
This file must be located in the following directory: webclient/configuration/icds
Prerequisites
In the example shown in Figure 1, PROP1 is valid for all ICDs, PROP2 is valid for devices with a type code of either DEV and MOTO, while PROP3 is valid only for devices with type code MOTO.
Additionally new properties can be added manually using the following process.
Procedure
- Click the icon to create a new property.
- Enter a name and value for the property which will be viewable in the Capital Logic Properties dialog.
Note: Default properties for the selected type code that are assigned using the configuration file, such as PROP1 in Figure 1, cannot be deleted. Manually created properties however can be removed by clicking the icon.
