Configuring

Units of Measure for Off-Route Values

System Administrators can configure the \config\cablerouter\cmpic.config file to specify the units of measure to display for metric off‑route length and weight values.

Prerequisites

• You have access to FileZilla software.

Procedure

1. From FileZilla, click File > Site Manager.The Site Manager dialog box is displayed.

2. Click New Site and name the new entry in the My Site list.

3. From the General tab, specify the following options:Host — v9dev.cloudis.com

Protocol — SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol

Logon Type — Key file

User — ftp-siemens

Key file — local path to the RSA private key file

4. Click Connect.The Local site and Remote site panes are displayed.

5. From the Remote site, double-click the in\DEV01 folder.

6. Right-click the cmpic.config file and select View/Edit.The following parameters and default settings define the units of measure for length (SFACTL) and weight (SFACTW): Copyexport SFACTL="1000" export SFACTW="0.001"

7. Specify the parameter values as required:SFACTL 1000 → millimeters

100 → centimeters

1 → meters

SFACTW 0.001 → kg / meter

1 → kg / kilometer

8. Save and close the file.

Results

When off-route lengths are imported from NX, the values are calculated using the SFACTL and SFACTW values to display the lengths in the specified unit of measure.
