Fixture Additional Components

A fixture can be made up from multiple interchangeable parts. You can model this in Capital Component Manager by adding all potential parts in the housing definition of the main fixture part number.

See “Fixtures” in the Capital Component Manager - User Guide for more information on creating fixtures.

The parts that you add to the housing definition are available for configuration in Capital Formboard Designer on the Additional Components Tab Dialog Box, which displays on the Add Fixture Dialog Box.

All parts configured as mandatory, are selected when the fixture selection process selects the main fixture part number. See also “Automatic Fixture Part Number Selection”.

Note

The Harness Processing Part Selection option Select Mandatory Component Part Numbers does not select or re-select fixture mandatory additional components.

You can add further additional components to the individual instance of a fixture on a design by using the Add button.
