Managing Filters
A corporate signal library managed in Capital Dictionary can contain tens of thousands of signals and messages. Personalized views and filters enable network engineers to navigate the dictionary in a rapid and intuitive manner.
A filter window is available at the top left of both the Messages and Signals accordions in your browser window.
Click the dropdown option to see a list of previously created filters that you may wish to use. Alternatively you can create a new filter by selecting columns on which you wish to filter, including hiding those you do not wish to use, and then clicking the icon.
The Save icon becomes active once changes are made to the columns. Enter a new filter name in the Save Filter dialog. The action saves your newly created filter, along with all adjustments such as column size and placement that you have made.
You can click Clear filter if you no longer wish to use the selected filter. Again, click the dropdown option to see a list of available filters.
You can remove a saved filter by selecting it in the filter screen and clicking the delete icon.
Note: Filter names are NOT case sensitive. If you create a filter with the same name, but using a different case, then the original filter will be overwritten.
