Connector Refinement and Harness Synchronization - Best Practice

The following points offer best practice tips to consider when you are creating and configuring refined connectors that will be synchronized to Capital Harness Designer or Capital Harness Designer Modular.

• Always give your refined connectors a different name to the generalized connector.

• Always ensure that the fan out in Capital Systems Integrator shows the true branch (fan out) length.

• Ensure refined connectors have unique names.

• When you synchronize to Capital Harness Designer or Capital Harness Designer Modular, the names of the connectors should match the names of the refined connectors in Capital Systems Integrator.

• Do not delete or modify the node where the generalized connector will be located in Capital Harness Designer or Capital Harness Designer Modular.

• Virtual / Slot connectors in Capital Systems Integrator are not supported as part of the generative flow to Capital Harness Designer or Capital Harness Designer Modular.

• If you have multiple branches terminating at an inline, add a stub branch to assist with correct synchronization to Capital Harness Designer or Capital Harness Designer Modular.
