Editing a Variant Position

Connector

You can edit a primary position connector, or one of its variant positions, on a harness design. Changes made to a variant position connector cannot be synchronized back to the primary position connector.

Variant position connectors will not inherit changes made to their primary position connector automatically; any changes must be synchronized. See Synchronizing a Variant Position Connector for more information.

Procedure

Select one of the entities related to the connector to be edited: the structure node at which the connector is placed; the connector cavity table; the primary connector symbol; for modular connectors (housings), the position table.
Either:Press Space Bar and enter Edit

Right-click the selected entity and select Edit Connector

Double-click one of the related entities

The Edit Connector Dialog Box is displayed.

Make any changes required to the connector attributes or properties.Note It is not possible to create a variant of a variant; when editing a variant position connector, the Variant Position tab is unavailable.
Click OK.
