Modular Wiring
You can run Modular Wiring Synthesis to generate wiring with option expressions. Modular Wiring Synthesis (MWS) generates this wiring by routing wiring based on manufacturable configurations of exclusive options.
See Modular Wiring Synthesis for more information about what Modular Wiring Synthesis is and for what it is used.
Note
You can run Modular Wiring Synthesis only in single-user mode.
Prerequisites
A Capital Systems Integrator design with at least one associated Capital Logic Designer design.
At least one vehicle model.
At least one signal to route from the Capital Logic Designer design.
At least one harness in the Capital Systems Integrator design.
Your user account must have the appropriate permissions and locks such that you can perform edits on the design.
You must have a license that allows the use of designs with complex wiring.
Procedure
Press Space Bar and enter Synthesis; the Wiring Synthesis Dialog Box displays.
Ensure that Modular Synthesis is selected:
Note Modular Synthesis is a default synthesis configuration. You can define your own configurations to appear on the dialog box. See Synthesis Configuration for more information about the concept.Click Go; a progress bar indicates when synthesis is complete.Note If you click Cancel, the design returns to its state before this synthesis run (no newly generated wiring is retained). The system rolls back all the changes made by any plugins during the synthesis run and removes listed messages of that particular run.
Results
The Synthesis tab in the Output Window reports on the synthesis actions and any signals that have failed to route.
When Modular Wiring Synthesis is run with the ‘Use full option combination’ project preference enabled, it identifies when it has been run against a signal that is too complex, that is, a signal where either the total number of option combinations or the number of option combinations in a group is greater than the default limit. See Option Dependencies Are Too Complex for instructions on how to change this. In this case, the Synthesis tab in the Output Window displays the following message:

Variables
Not all configurations could be checked for signal {0}. Disable the "Use full option combinations" project preference to check all configurations.
