Edit Shared Function Dialog Box

To access: Right-click a shared function and select Edit Shared Function.

Used to edit the shared object definition of a shared function.

Objects

Field	Description
Symbols tab	Not displayed if there are no symbols that can be added to the function. Lists symbols associated with the shared function. Click Add to add a symbol. To remove a symbol select it in the list and click Remove.
Ports tab	Not displayed for shared function with a symbol associated when either a symbol is selected in the Symbols tab or a symbol has just been added in the Symbols tab. Displays the shared function’s shared port list, which lists the ports in the shared object definition. Click New to add a new port. The Add Shared Ports Dialog Box displays.
Associate Ports tab	Displayed only for shared functions with a symbol associated when either a symbol is selected in the Symbols tab or a symbol has just been added in the Symbols tab. Used to associate ports on a symbol with ports in the shared object definition. Unassociated ports are shown in bold font; associated ports are shown in plain text. Symbol list Lists the ports on the symbol. Shared Object list Lists the ports in the shared object definition. Either click Associate All to associate the ports in the order they appear in the list, or select a port in the Symbol list and a port in the Shared Object list then click Associate. Select two associated ports and click Disassociate to disassociate them. Click Disassociate All to clear all port associations. Click New to add a new port to the shared object definition’s shared port list. The Add Shared Ports Dialog Box displays.
Port Reservations tab	Lists ports with reservation status of either Reserved or Automatic in the Automatic Reservations list. Lists ports with reservation status of Unrestricted in the Unrestricted Ports list. To change a port’s reservation status to Unrestricted, select it in the Automatic Reservations list and click Add. To change the reservation status of all the ports to Unrestricted click Add All. To move a port that you have just added to the Unrestricted Ports list to the Automatic Reservations list select it and click Remove. To move all the ports you have just added to the Unrestricted Ports list to the Automatic Reservations list click Remove All. See “Port Reservation Status” in the Capital Project Manager User Guide for further information about automatic, reserved and unrestricted ports. Unavailable if there are no ports in the shared object's shared object definition.
