Insulation

This chapter explains the methods available to insulate a harness to protect its components from both physical and environmental damage, as well as electrical interference: namely Bundle Insulation, Spot Tape, Breakout Tape, and Overbraids.

Note: Following the introduction of the 2010.2 release, insulation rendering was improved. If migrating harness diagrams from 2010.1 or earlier into later versions of the software, it is recommended to re-apply style to implement the improvements. Any new diagram created from 2010.2 onwards automatically uses the new type of rendering for insulation.

Topics in this chapter:

  • Bundle Insulation
  • Spot Tape
  • Breakout Tape
  • Overbraids
