Adding Text Frames to a

Diagram

This topic details how to use the drawing tools to add a text frame to a diagram.

Procedure

  1. Press Space Bar and enter Text. The cursor changes to .

  2. Click on the diagram to place the first corner of the text frame.

  3. Click on the diagram to place the opposite corner of the text frame. The Add Text Dialog is displayed.

  4. Enter the text that you want to display in the box at the bottom of the Add Text Dialog.

  5. Click OK.

Results

The text frame and text is added to the diagram.

If the text is not displayed, the text frame is not large enough for the text. To increase the size of the text frame, place the mouse cursor over a corner of the frame so that the stretch icon is displayed, hold down the left mouse key and drag the corner.

In Capital Systems Modeler, if you click once on a port, connector or device before clicking to start drawing the graphic, the graphic is automatically associated with the object (that means, if the object is moved, the graphic moves with it).
