Running Auto Create

Component Constraints

You can run configured Auto Create Components constraints using various ribbon actions.

Prerequisites

• You have configured your rules and constraints and applied them to the required design. See also “Rules and Constraints” in the Capital Design Tools Common Functions User Guide.

• The required design diagram is open.

• To run the constraints on specific bundles / insulations, select the required objects on the diagram or in the Harness Design browser.

• To run the constraints on all bundles / insulations, do not select any objects.

Procedure

1. Click Automate > Rules ribbon action.Figure 31: Auto Create Actions

2. To run all the configured Auto Create Component constraints, select Place All Components (or use the keyboard shortcut Shift+Ctrl+K). Alternatively, to run them for a specific object, select the required individual place action.

Results

• Objects are created in accordance with the configuration of each constraint run.

• If you have specified the required project preference (see “Auto Create Component Constraints Overview”), all auto created objects are created with this property set to True.

• The Output Window displays feedback from the auto creation process.
