Preparing
the Routing Network and Exporting the Nodal Network
Once the cableway design is complete, you can specify the Near node definitions, additional attributes, and export the nodal network to guide cable routing in Capital Cable Router.
You can perform the following tasks to embellish the routing network and validate and export the 3D design:
- Specify the Near node definitions (end of the cable route closest to the device) for each device. Location where the cable from the device enters the cableway.
Length of cable between the Near node and the device entry (including cable slack).
- Specify attributes on the cableway segments and nodes to determine which cable types can route through the segment: Segregation codes
Raceway ID
Major / Minor designation
Principal / Secondary designation
Validate the 3D cableway design for disconnections using interactive checks.
Export the 3D cableway design to generate the nodal network definition for use in Capital Cable Router.

You can configure Capital Cable Router to import the exported nodal network at regular intervals using a cron expression, or interactively force synchronization of the nodal network data.
