Exporting and Importing

a Pro Product Plan

You can import and export pro product plans from a project in Capital Systems Integrator. The plans are in xml file format.

Prerequisites

The target project (for an import) or source project (for an export) must be open.
Both the source and target installation must have a Capital Configuration Optimizer license available and it must be enabled. Note The system administrator enables access to add-on functionality (such as Capital Configuration Optimizer) by using license policies and user groups (see “License Policy” in the Capital Access Manager User Guide.
When importing a pro product plan, the options used in the plan should be present in your database. You can either enter them manually (see “Option” in the Capital Project Manager User Guide), or export them from another Capital installation and import them (see “Exporting an Option List” and “Importing an Option List” in the Capital Project Manager User Guide.

Procedure

Choose one of the following procedures.

If you want to...	Do the following:
Import a pro product plan	Right-click the Plans node in the Project Browser Window on the upper left of the application window and choose Import, or press Space Bar, enter Import Plan, and click the Import Plan ribbon action. An Import Plan dialog box displays. Navigate to the pro product plan xml file, select it, and click Import; the plan displays below the Plans node in the Project Browser Window. Note If a design with no associated plan was open and active in the diagram window, the system associates the plan with it.
Export a pro product plan	Right-click the plan under the Plans node in the Project Browser Window on the upper left of the application window and choose Export. Alternatively, click the plan, press Space Bar, enter Export Plan, and click the Export Plan ribbon action. An Export Plan dialog box displays. Specify the file name and directory where you want to save it, and click Export; the system saves the xml file in the specified location.
