Change History

Automated actions in Capital Systems Integrator are very powerful and can make multiple data changes at the click of a button. However, this can make it hard for a user to understand what changes have actually been made. Change history functionality provides change tracking in Capital Systems Integrator, so that you can identify wiring changes made by individual actions as well as the cumulative changes since the last save.

When you are editing a Capital Systems Integrator design, you can compare the live data in that design with the design data prior to the last save, or prior to the last action. This enables you to verify all changes made by an automated action. You can also export that data in CSV format.

You configure default sets and additional sets of attributes and properties for which the change history functionality reports changes. You specify different sets of attributes and properties for each object type. This means that you can limit the reported differences to a meaningful set for you.

Note

Changes to devices are reported only if the devices are directly connected to wiring (for example, through a hole).

It is important to note that only Capital Systems Integrator data is being considered. Changes to the harness data are reported so a change to a footprint (even if made in Capital Logic Designer) is reported because it affects the wiring. Similarly, for a direct-connect device, changes to attributes and properties in Capital Logic Designer are reported if they have been synchronized with Capital Systems Integrator.
