High Level Flow for Creating Network Messages and Signals
There is a high-level flow that you should follow for creating network messages, network signals, and their associations in Capital Dictionary.
Configure user access to Capital Devices by setting relevant permissions in Capital User.
Note: Any user who must edit the names in Capital Dictionary must have the Object Type Information permission. A user can view the names without any explicit permissions.
Create and manage network signals and network messages in Capital Dictionary. See "Managing Capital Dictionary Entries (Signals and Messages)".
Create and manage network signal associations to messages in Capital Dictionary. See "Associating Network Signals and Messages".
Use the network signals and messages data in function designs in Capital Systems Capture and platform designs in Capital Systems Architect. See the Capital Networks in Capital Systems Capture chapter in the Function Design in Capital Systems Capture User Guide and Capital Networks in Capital Systems Architect chapter in the Platform Design in Capital Systems User Guide.
