Purging Redundant
Module Codes at Project Level
You can purge the system of unused module codes, that is codes that have not been assigned to an object on a module design. This may be as a result of multiple module code assignation passes or design changes. To make project data cleaner and more manageable redundant codes can be automatically identified and deleted.
Procedure
Press Space Bar and enter Functional or Production Module Codes. The Module Code Dialog Box is displayed.
Click to purge unused, or unassigned module codes. The system displays a message informing you that it may take time to check for unused codes, as it will verify code usage across all designs. Click OK to proceed. Note If any design within the project is locked by another user then the purging action will not proceed.
If unused codes are present the Select Unused Codes For Removal Dialog Box is opened, otherwise a message reports that there are no unused codes.
Using the relevant buttons add, or remove codes, including Technical Module Codes from the list to be purged.
Click OK, to confirm the deletion of the selected codes.Once this operation has completed these codes are removed as applicable codes on the designs and removed from the module code manager. Note To restore deleted codes, click Cancel and reopen the module code manager to restore the purged codes. However, codes already removed from designs cannot be restored.
