Editing a Variant Position

Splice

You can edit a primary position splice, or one of its variant positions, on a harness design. Changes made to a variant position splice cannot be synchronized back to the primary position splice.

Variant position splices will not inherit changes made to their primary position splice automatically; any changes must be synchronized. See also Synchronizing a Variant Position Splice.

Procedure

Select the splice to be edited.
Either:Press Space Bar and enter Edit.

Right-click the selected entity and select Edit Splice.

Double-click one of the related entities.

The Edit Splice Dialog Box is displayed.

Make any changes required to the splice attributes or properties.Note It is not possible to create a variant of a variant; when editing a variant position splice, the Variant Positions tab is unavailable.
Click OK.
