Moving a Splice

You can move a placed splice from one bundle, or section of bundle, to another.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • If a spot tape exists on a splice with an Insulation Type “Spot Tape”, the splice and spot tape will move together.

Procedure

  1. Right-click one of the following entities related to the splice and select Move Splice:Reference node at which the splice is placed.

  1. Place the splice at the new location:If you click a node, the splice is placed, anchored at that node.

If you hover the cursor over a bundle, a tooltip displays the distance between the cursor position and the adjacent node in the direction of the start of the bundle. Note If the new position violates any rules and constraints on splice repositioning, the cursor changes to indicate that you cannot position the splice at that point and must choose a different location.

  1. Click to place the splice.The Node Position Utility Dialog Box is displayed.

  2. Specify the values to fine‑tune the position of the reference node created to anchor the splice to the bundle.

  3. Click OK to confirm the new position.
