Capital Harness Designer Modular > Module Code Assignation
Using the Module Explorer
You can use the Module Explorer to analyze selected objects to aid the interactive module design process.
The Module Explorer button () is located on the Module Browser. It is used in conjunction with the View Module Content button and sliders to enable you to view the selected objects and add unassigned objects to your design in a preview display, prior to performing assignation.
Note
By default, the Module Explorer is opened in the Output Window. However, you may also press Ctrl when clicking the Module Explorer button to use the dialog box in floating mode.
Procedure
Copy or drag and drop objects between the Module Code browser tabs and the Module Explorer, including the Unassigned folder.Pressing the Ctrl key while dragging the object copies it to the target module code and it is this code that is appended to any, and all objects selected. If no button is pressed during the drag action then the object is completely reassigned to the target module code and any previous assignations, including Unassigned, are replaced. See “Module Explorer Dialog Box” for full details on the controls available on this panel.
Click any of the column headings to sort the selected objects.
The following options are available:Remove Selected — removes all selected objects from the Module Explorer.
Remove Unselected — removes all unselected objects from the Module Explorer.
Add Unassigned Wires — with a single connector or splice selected, this adds any wires that terminate in the connector or splice to the Module Explorer display.
- Drag objects from the Module Explorer to the Module Code browser tabs to assign or unassign them to the requisite module code.
